Bon-Psy has steadily established his presence in the world of independent contemporary electronic music over the past few years, boasting an impressive collection of releases that have garnered widespread acclaim. A talented producer and visual artist - he plies his trade with unique fusion of future beats, IDM, electronica, and subtle jazz influences.

For his inaugural release on Asta Hiroki's Folded Music label, Bon-Psy unveiled 'Order', a project that received accolades from BBC Radio 1 (courtesy of Jaguar), BBC 6Music (featuring Huey Morgan, Tom Robinson, and Deb Grant), Bandcamp Weekly, and a selection of Spotify curated playlists (including Genre Glitch, Orbit, Fresh Finds Jazz, and Fresh Finds Experimental).

After the uplifting and healthy outlook expressed on ‘Order’ he now flips the switch into 'Chaos', the compelling second installment in his EP trilogy embarking on an introspective odyssey that pushes the boundaries of modern electronica, all while remaining deeply entrenched in a profoundly personal narrative.

Among the album's standout tracks, 'Spiral' takes center stage—a mesmerizing four-minute composition that continually evolves and morphs, delivering a whirlwind of energy and restrained vitality. It seamlessly weaves together euphoric grooves, hard-hitting beats, and growling basslines. 'I Don't Wanna Hurt, I Just Wanna Lay Here' seamlessly blends heavy 140 bpm influences, skillfully executed live drums, and audaciously intricate production techniques as it journeys toward its delightfully twisted conclusion.

Meanwhile, 'Fractured' emerges as a track brimming with breathtaking and captivating soundscapes. Within its sonic tapestry, twisted and fragmented vocals dance between the hush and roar of melancholic piano, intimate guitar, and dream-drenched synthesizers. As the grand finale, the title track 'Chaos' emerges as perhaps the most uncompromising and abrasive offering of them all, with the forceful presence of metal and jazz influences more pronounced than ever.

The 'Chaos' project is a rollercoaster of emotions. It offers moments of clarity, where euphoria dances through an underlying sense of tension. The melodies oscillate between lush and wistfully melancholic, yet the beats possess a rugged intensity that clearly distinguishes them from the ambiance of a dinner party. At times, the soundscapes glisten with a metallic sheen, while at others, they embrace a distorted crunch.

The electronic tones often cocoon you in a comforting warmth, but this sense of solace is just as often disrupted. When immersing yourself in this project, you're never quite certain of what's coming next. However, when it does arrive, it's guaranteed to evoke a visceral and profound emotional response.

“Chaos is by far the most “out there” release for me in terms of the style I have developed and all the tracks I have released before this. I have taken some big risks, taking the sound I have developed and putting it through a much darker and more menacing lens. Because of this, it’s easily the most proud I have been of a project, I was able to express all the key messages I wanted to, using a darker palette of sounds, whilst still retaining the core elements of what makes a ‘Bon-Psy’ track. ”
